My husband and recently celebrated our 20th anniversary of our first date. How did we celebrate? I dragged him to the movies to see Jim Caviezel (I love him!). Sound of Freedom is not a romantic movie one should use as a celebration, but we don’t go to the movies anymore, and I knew we needed to see it. It is based on a true story about child trafficking.
There is so much evil in this world that we cannot see at the surface level. When the world doesn’t want such evil to exist, they cry “Conspiracy theory!”. Well, many conspiracy theories have at least one foot planted in the truth, so wake up and pay attention! Fortunately, this truth is finally starting to surface.
Judging by the large numbers of people who stampeded in droves to see this movie, we can at least know that people are not okay with this. It doesn’t matter your political affiliation, race, or religion, children are not for sale. Only, they are, aren’t they? The bible tells us that we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities and evil spirits. Evil has taken over man, especially men who choose to relinquish the power and protection that God offers, and that evil has gone after our children.
In The Iliad, Homer tells us about child sacrifice. Reading that in school, we were so glad that was a thing of the past. Now we realize it’s still going on today. What can we do? First, pray. Then, go see the movie and become aware. Then, pray some more. We can also donate money to organizations who fight for these children. These are the easy things we can do. One of the most important steps you can take however, is to watch your children. Watch other people’s children. If you see something, step in. If we don’t protect them, who will?
I hope that all good people will go see this movie. I hope that all evil people will realize their time is almost up. Satan knows his time is short and he is ramping up the attacks. Pay attention, stay close to your children, and stay close to God.
